Preity contributes KBC price money to Shimla Red Cross Society

Shimla, Mar 2 (UNI) Bollywood star Preity Zinta has donated a sum of Rs 25 lakh to the Shimla District Red Cross Society, Shimla ADM Ajay Sharma said today.

The actor donated the amount she had won in the special Holi episode of the ''Kaun Banega Crorepati'' (KBC) show of March one, he said in a release here.

Ms Zinta and another Bollywood actor Rani Mukherjee had won a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh in the March one Holi special episode.

The actor has donated her part of the cash prize to the Society to help it in carrying out its welfare activities, Mr. Sharma said.

Meanwhile, the Society has purchased an ambulance and a dead body van from the donation, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Tarun Kapor said.
