Nine in fray for bypolls to two Nagaland seats

Kohima, Mar 2 (UNI) Altogether nine candidates are in the fray for the by-elections to two Assembly constituencies of Dimapur-I and Tuensang Sadar II, scheduled on March 8.

Congress candidate A Heto V Yeptho, Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF) candidate Atomi, BJP candidate Kevise Angami, JD(U) candidate Limatemjen and Nagaland Democratic Party candidate Roland would contest from the Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency under Dimapur district.

In Tuensang Sadar II, Congress candidate Kejong, NPF candidate Wongto and Independent candidates N Kaimang and Miss Rhakila would contest for the seat.

Earlier, the Election Commission had announced by-elections to both the constituencies following the death of sitting BJP Legislator Hokishe Sema from Dimapur-I and sitting BJP Legislator A Lakiumong from Tuensang Sadar II Assembly.
