MP bypoll: Officials removed

Raisen, MP, Mar 2 (UNI) The Chief Municipal Officer, Begumganj, has been transferred to Shajapur for violating the model code of conduct in the run-up to the March 8 Udaypura assembly constituency bypoll.

A complaint was made earlier today to the Election Commission against Mr R K Jain.

''Three cases were registered at the Begumganj Police Station today. Election material of different political parties was found pasted on the municipal council library, bus stand public toilet and garbage bins,'' said District Collector Arun Bhatt.

Another complaint led to the removal of Udaypura Station House Officer Hanumant Singh Rajput.
