Lok Sabha adjourned till 1130 hrs over Mulayam issue
New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Accusing the ruling Congress of being instrumental in the Supreme Court's order for CBI inquiry into the disproportionate assets of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Samajawadi Party MPs today forced the adjournment of the Lok Sabha till 1130 hrs.
As soon as the House assembled for the day, SP parliamentary party leader Ram Gopal Yadav stood to say that the Supreme Court's yesterday's order was part of a ''political conspiracy'' against Mr Yadav.
Speaker Somnath Chatterjee repeatedly told Mr Yadav that the House and the UPA government had nothing to do with the court order and urged the agitated members to allow taking up of Question Hour.
The Speaker also assured Mr Yadav that he would allow him to make the statement on the issue at 1200 hours. But the SP members remained adamant and trooped into the well of the Lok Sabha, shouting slogans ''Congress ki saazish nahi chalegi'' (Congress' conpiracy will not prevail).
The SP members received support from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) as its MPs led by Mr Yerran Naidu were also up on their feet alleging the Congress hand behind the court ruling.
Observing that the irate SP members were adamant, the Speaker adjourned the House till 1130 hrs.
