Fort Knox claims Varada cup

Bangalore, Mar 2 (UNI) Hot favourite S Padmanabhan's ward 'Fort Knox' won the Varada Cup, the main event of the winter meeting held here today.

The winner is the property of M/s Hoosain S Nensey, J K Rattonsey and Mr Farouq Rattonsey, representing Alleppo Bloodstock Pvt Limited.

Trainer Irfan Ghatala scored a treble, while apprentice Jockey S Selvaraj had a brace of winners.

Punters had a mixed day, with four favourites obliging in a card of eight events.

UNI
