Dnata to introduce welcome services at Indian airports
New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Dnata's innovative airport passenger services unit at Dubai International Airport is gearing up to boost its presence in the Indian subcontinent after successful promotion of Marhaba (welcome) services in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Dnata, the largest travel management services company in United Arab Emirates, has teamed up with Kuoni Travel Group to sell Marhaba's wide range of passenger assistance services in India.
The agreement paves way for travellers to book Marhaba services such as exclusive meet-and-greet, assistance with immigration and customs clearance, city stop packages for transfer passengers, and auxiliary services like floral bouquets, porterage and limousine service.
The services can be booked before travel to or via Dubai from Kuoni India outlets. For a small fee, travellers can also access luxurious Marhaba passenger lounges at Terminal 1 in Dubai's airport to rest and refresh, regardless of their airline.
Mr Zubin Karkaria, CEO and managing director of Kuoni India and south Asia, said India's booming economy is fuelling a rapid increase in international travel and bringing about many first-time travellers.
''For such travellers, unfamiliar with the local language and airport procedures, travelling can be stressful,'' he said.
''Marhaba reduces this stress by assisting passengers through the airport formalities.'' Drawn from many nationalities and cultures, Marhaba staff is multi-lingual and specially trained to cater to the needs of tourists, families, VIP passengers and corporate business travellers. They are supported by the latest computer technology to ensure every passenger requirement is recorded and monitored.
