DBS Chola unveils hedge equity fund

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) DBS Chola MF today announced the launch of its open-ended DBS Chola Hedged Equity Fund.

The investment objective of the fund was to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity, equity-related and derivative instruments, a release here said.

The fund seeks to minimise risk by using hedging tools such as index and stock derivative instruments. The aim was to generate returns with lower volatility.

The new fund offer was open for subscription from March one, 2007 and will close on March 23, 2007, it added.
