Bhopal, Mar 2 (UNI) Accusing Madhya Pradesh's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of winning previous bypolls by employing ''terror tactics,'' the Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) today appealed to the electorate to teach the BJP a lesson in the March 8 byelection to Gwalior and Sidhi (ST) parliamentary constituencies and Udaypura assembly seat.

''Such tactics were unleashed in the Vidisha Lok Sabha bypoll and Malehra Vidhan Sabha byelection,'' BJS General Secretary and former union minister Prahlad Patel told journalists here.

Defending the BJS decision not to field candidates for the March 8 hustings, he reiterated that the party was focussing on the Uttar Pradesh election. ''In the first phase, we are contemplating about contesting 88 seats but the final decision will be taken by March 8,'' Mr Patel revealed.

Responding to a question, he alleged that the BJP and Congress were the BJS' sworn enemies but the BJS was making the anti-BJP appeal, vis-a-vis March 8, to attain its target.
