AIE to operate 5 Mangalore-Dubai flights a week

Mangalore, Mar 2 (UNI) Air India Express' tri-weekly international flight service between Mangalore and Dubai would be operated five days a week from today.

According to sources at the Bajpe airport, Air India Express, the low cost airline of Air India operating flights between Mangalore and Dubai on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, would henceforth operate on Wednesdays and Fridays too. The flight from Dubai would arrive at Bajpe airport at 1910 hrs and depart at 2210 hrs.

The airline would run one more flight service on the Mangalore- Bahrain-Doha sector from March 25 (on Sundays and Tuesdays). The timings and operating days of Mangalore-Abu Dhabi-Muscat services would also be changed from March 25, sources in the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said.

According to the schedule given by Air India Express to the AAI, the Boeing 737 on Mangalore-Bahrain-Doha route would be operated on Sundays and Tuesdays. The flight would arrive here from Doha via Bahrain at 2130 hrs on Sundays. On its return journey, it would leave here at 2250 hrs to Bahrain via Doha. On Tuesdays, the flight would arrive here from Bahrain via Doha at 1910 hrs and depart to Bahrain at 2010 hrs.

The sources said that from March 25, the flight from Mangalore to Abu Dhabi and Muscat would operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. On Tuesdays, the flight from Muscat would arrive here via Abu Dhabi at 2150 hrs and depart at 2250 hrs. On Saturdays, the flight from Abu Dhabi would reach here at 2150 hrs and take off to Abu Dhabi at 2250 hrs to reach Muscat later.
