AIADMK resort to agitation on ration card issue

Madurai, Mar 2(UNI) The opposition AIADMK staged a demonstration in the city to press for early issuance of ration cards, pending for months together.

Led by former Minister and party strongman N Dalavai Sundaram and local functionaries, more than 1000 AIADMK workers and supporters took part in the protest, raising slogans against the Karunanidhi Government.

They condemned the delay in issuing the ration cards to avail the benefits of the Public Distribution system(PDS).

Similar protests were held at all district headquarters in the southern districts of the state.
