Nine to vie for bypolls to two seats of Nagaland
Kohima, Mar 02: Altogether nine candidates would vie for by-elections to two Assembly constituencies of Dimapur-I and Tuensang Sadar II, scheduled on March 8.
In an Extraordinary Nagaland Gazette, published by the Election Department, Congress candidate A. Heto V. Yeptho, Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF) candidate Atomi, BJP candidate Kevise Angami, JD(U) candidate Limatemjen and Nagaland Democratic Party candidate Roland would contest from Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency under Dimapur district.
In Tuensang Sadar II, Congress candidate Kejong, NPF candidate Wongto and Independent candidates N. Kaimang and Miss Rhakila would contest for the seat.
Earlier, Election Commission had announced the by-elections to both the constituencies following the death of sitting BJP Legislator Hokishe Sema from Dimapur-I and BJP sitting Legislator A.
