UlFA, Moily Report key omissions in President's Address: Advani
New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani today slammed the UPA government for the glaring omissions of the Moily Commission Report and ULFA in the President's Address to both Houses of Parliament, and said the Centre had a secret understanding with the militant outfit.
''The mere omission of ULFA... was a clear indication that the government was hand-in-glove with the underground outfit,'' Mr Advani said, while speaking on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Addresss.
To buttress his argument, he said the accreditation of a news channel was revoked for telecasting that the Congress government in Asom had paid large sum to ULFA for peaceful conduct of recent National Games in Guwahati. The accreditation, he added, was restored only after the Supreme Court's intervention.
He said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should explain the incident.
Mr Advani also mentioned the Ramaji Rao episode, and said the media baron was being targeted for exposing corruption of the government.
''I
have
known
the
1975
Emergency

The
same
mentality
is
pervasive
in
Assam
and
Andhra
Pradesh
that

he
said.
''The

of
the
Emergency.''
