Scaffolding collapsed, ten injured

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Mar 1 (UNI) Ten people were injured when a scaffolding collapsed at the famous Adi Kumbeswarar temple at Kumbakonam in this district today.

Police said devotees had thronged the temple in view of the ongoing 'Masi Maham' festival when the wooden scaffolding erected between the temple chariot and 'mandapam' collapsed.

The injured were admitted to Government hospital at Kumbakonam.

Meanwhile, the 'Masi Maham' festival will culminate on Saturday with devotees taking a holy dip in the famous Mahamaham tank in the temple town.

UNI
