RS 5 lakh cash reward for police party for Abu Talah's killing
Jammu, Mar 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today announced Rs Five lakh cash reward for its team that eliminated ''most wanted'' Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander Abu Tallah at Billawar in Kathua district last morning.
The cash reward of Rs five lakh was sanctioned by the Director General of Police Gopal Sharma in recognition to the work done by police party, a statement said.
Names of two police officers, who headed the operational party, have been recommended for gallantry award while other six police constables have been awarded out of turn one rank promotion.
The slain militant was involved in number of terrorist activities, including massacre of minority Hindus in Doda and Udhampur districts, and was planning fidayeen (suicide) attacks on Raj Bhavan and MLA's hostel in Jammu city.
UNI
