Mahindra's tractor registers 7 per cent growth

Chennai, Mar 1 (UNI) The tractor manufacturing division of Mahindra and Mahindra, has posted a growth of seven per cent in February compared to coresponding period last year.

The total sales volumes for the month stood at 7003 including exports, which was about five per cent high over the last fiscal, a company release here said today.

Cumulative sales (April to February) was also on the upswing, registering a growth of 23 per cent over the corresponding period of last year.

The company also posted a growth of 22 per cent in sales including exports clocking 94724 numbers during April to February.

Cumulative exports grew 13 per cent in the same year, the release said.

Meanwhile, the company's automobile sales increased to 19.2 per cent compared to the last fiscal.

Domestic vehicle sales for the month of February was up by 17.6 per cent.

The brand 'Scorpio' alone registered a sales volume of 2637 in February, which was about 14 per cent high compared to the corresponding month last fiscal.

Cumulative vehicle sales, including exports for April to February was 157606 as against 133024 last fiscal, a growth of 18.5 per cent, the release added.
