Local court remands 3 PMC officials to police custody

Pune, Mar 1 (UNI) A local court today remanded to police custody all the three Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials, arrested in connection with the Transfer of Development Right (TDR), till March three.

The State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Pune, arrested the senior PMC officials yesterday for their alleged involvement in the TDR scam and recovered cash of Rs 9.59 lakh and documents of 'benami' transactions worth Rs 60 lakh.

Those arrested include Deputy Commissioner of PMC and in-charge of the tax collection department Shirish Ramchandra Yadav (general), legal advisor Ravindra Nivruti Thorat and senior engineer Madhusudan Shrirang Yenkar of slum improvement department.
