Justice Sanju Panda sworn-in

Cuttack, Mar 1 (UNI) Justice Sanju Panda was today sworn-in as an Additional Judge of Orissa High Court.

Acting Chief Justice of Orissa High Court Justice A K Ganguly administered the oath of office to Justice Panda at a simple function inside the court premises.

Orissa Law Minister B B Harichandan, Home Secretary T K Mishra and judges of the High Court, the State Advocate General and members of the bar were present at the swearing in ceremony.

Ms Justice Panda officiated the court proceedings sharing the same bench with the acting chief justice after the swearing in ceremony as a customary practice.

She is the second female judge of Orissa High court after Justice Mrs Amiya Kumari Padhi officiated from 1988 to 1995.

With the latest figure of judges, the strength has risen to 13.
