He said that suspension, for demanding election to Legislative Council Chairman post lying vacant since last nine months, was against the Constitution and preventing the members from attending meetings was othing but 'mockery of democracy'.

The Coalition government had indulged in all sorts of illegal acts right from coming to power throwing to air constitutional norms and not bothering to take into consideration the Governor T N Chaturvedi's letter with regard to the failures.

Replying to a question, Mr Kharge said there is no change in Congress demand that election should be held immediately to fill the Legislative Council Chairman Post. "We may again approach the governor on the issue", he added.
