Buddhadeb, Yechury to attend 8th DYFI all India conference
Chennai, Mar 1 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and CPI(M) Polit Buro member Sitaram Yechury will participate in the eighth all India conference of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), beginning here on May 8.
Talking to newspersons here, DYFI Tamil Nadu Secretary S Kannan said the four-day conference would have seminars and discussions on various socio-economic and political topics.
The conference would include seminars on topics like Inflation, Communal Forces, Imperialism and Media and Culture.
Experts from different field would attend the seminar and deliberate on these topics.
He said apart from 1000 Indian delegates, foreign delegates from Vietnam, China, Cuba, Greece, Britian, France, Italy, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal would attend the conference.
As a precursor to the conference, the DYFI would organise a Mini Marathon on March three, which would be inaugurated by P T Usha.
To strengthen the base and create more awareness on the functioning of the organisation, the DYFI would organise 1000 seminars in Tamil Nadu.
A separate seminar titled ''IT and Youth'' would be organised to highlight the changing labour scenario in the IT field, Mr Kannan added.
