No provision for Mumbai
Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today said the budget had no provision for the city and the rest of the state.
In a release here, Mr Gadkari said farmer suicides in Vidarbha were on the rise and there were delays in providing them assistance.
Though some amount had been earmarked for the incomplete irrigation schemes, he wondered when this amount would be actually received.
Even as talks are on to convert Mumbai into a big economic centre of Asia, there is no provision for the same, he said.
BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde, in his statement, said the budget has no mention of reducing the interest rates for farmers whose condition is not well. The common man would not derive any benefit from the budget, he added.
