Naxals kill one in Gadchiroli
Nagpur, Feb 28 (UNI) Naxalites killed a 40-year old man, suspecting him to be a police informer, in Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra in the wee hours today.
A group of 25 to 30 armed Naxalites went to the house of Patali Pandu Zore, a farmer, in village Tambda in Etapalli tehsil of the district and dragged him to a nearby bore-well at gunpoint. They then stabbed him on the throat, chest and stomach with sharp weapons, killing him on the spot, a release by the police said.
Police teams have been sent into the area to carry out a search operation.
This is the second in the last 15 days that Naxalites have killed a person from the same village, the release said adding that Naxalites had killed five people in Gadchiroli district this year, and 39 last year.
