Major administrative reshuffle in Bihar

Patna, Feb 28 (UNI) The Bihar Government today removed Chairman of State Electricity Board M M Singh following yesterdays unprecedented power crisis due to 24-hour strike by the employees.

Mr Singh was transferred to the state planning board as Advisor.

Board's Secretary Arun Chandra was also shunted out to the the personnel department with immediate effect.

Information secretary Vivek Singh was asked to take additional charge of Chairman-cum-Member administration of the Bihar State Electicity Board.

Joint secretary of Urban development department Arvind Kumar Singh was given additional charge of BSEB's Secretary.

The Government action came after Bihar went into complete darkness yesterday following strike by the powermen.

The Government also reshuffled other senior IAS officers as Bihar State Planning board advisor H.C,Sirohi was made Commissioner of Munger Division, Commissioner-cum-director prosecution U.K.Nanda was sent to Kosi division as Commissioner and Chairman-cum-Managing Director State tourism corporation Manoj Kumar Srivastav was made secretary to the Disaster Management. Mr Ravikant, Secretary Cooperative, was made additional registrar of the Cooperative Society and Personnel secretary Amir Subahhani was given additional charge of Commissioner cum Secretary Excise department. Mr Rajesh Bhushan who was waiting for posting, was made chairman cum managing director state tourism corporation.

Secretary Excise Department Surendra Prasad Sinha was shifted to urban development department in the same capacity, Additional Commissioner cum Secretary K.K.Pathak was made executive director of Bihar state health committee while Sepcial Secretatry health and family welfare Udai Singh Kumawat was made director ICDS and incharge of social welfare.

Additional Secretary, Building, Anwar Alam was given additional charge managing director of the hosuing board.

The government also decided to transfer some of the district magistrates and the list includes Ramesh Lal,who was sent to Gopalganj as District Magistrate from the post of director ICDS.

DM Gopalganj Murlidhar Rai was transferred and made director general providend fund. DM Shridharsribolu was shifted to Purnia from Rohtas while DM Purnia arvind Kumar Choudhry was sent in the finance department. Additional Secretary Home Special Jitendra Kumar Sinha was made DM of Bhojpur while DM Banka R.N.Chounthun was sent on central deputation. Managing director of Scheduled caste development corporation Dayashankar pandey was sent to the post of Banka DM. DM Bhojpur Vishwanath Singh was shifted as Rohtas DM.

UNI
