Cong defeat in Punjab may be due to price rise: Hooda
Chandigarh, Feb 28 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said price rise could be the reason behind the defeat of the Congress in the assembly elections in Punjab.
''Price rise may be reason behind the Congress defeat. However, an analysis is being done at the party level to go into the reasons for defeat,'' Mr Hooda said while taking to reporters in Bhiwani.
He said despite the defeat, the Congress vote share in Punjab had increased by three-and-a-half per cent.
