Budget not friendly to Aviation Industry: Saighal
Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) The budget for 2007-08 shows rather subdued pertinence to the Aviation Industry, Lt Gen (Retd) S J S Saighal, Chairman of Global Vectra Helicorp ltd, today said.
''Although the Union Finance Minister has imposed three per cent import duty on all private import of aircraft including helicopters, we have to yet study and analyse the proposal in the budget and its applicability to us,'' he added.
''The budget does not address all the expectations of the Aviation Industry and especially of the non scheduled operators. We were expecting relief on corporate tax and reduction in duty on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF),'' he added.
