Hyderabad, Feb 28 (UNI) BJP Andhra Pradesh unit President B Dattatraya today said the union budget 2007-08, presented by the Finance minister P Chidambaram, was 'anti-farmer and anti -poor'.

According to a press release here, Mr Dattatraya said the minister has failed to introduce any 'comprehensive greivence scheme' for farmers and had not metioned about remunarative price to the agriculture produce, besides neglecting the increasing farmer suicides .

Alleging that the Centre has not disclosed the details of the beneficiaries of agriculture loans for which Rs 3 lakh crore was allocated, he said the beedi industry would face crisis due to the imposition of cess on the products .

A meagre allocation of Rs 6,000 crore for the welfare of SC and STs would not render justice to them, he added.
