Accident averted at Karipur airport

Kozhikode, Feb 28 (UNI) An accident was averted at the Karipur International Airport here after one of the tyres of the Air India flight from Sharjah burst.

The tyre burst occured when the Indian Airlines IC 596 landed at the Airport in the morning, sources said and added it was brought to safety without any problems.

Soon after a loud bursting noise was heard, the Central Industrial Security Force, Fire fighters and the Airport officials rushed to the spot, they said.
