Jammu, Feb 27 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today ordered two days free air service for stranded passengers between the capital cities -- Jammu and Srinagar -- of the state from tomorrow, official sources said.

Keeping in view the continuous road blockages on Jammu-Srinagar national highway due to rainfall, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad talked to Mr Singh on telephone and requested him for providing free air service to the stranded people, sources said.

The Prime Minister immediately agreed and issued orders for two days free air service on February 28 and March 1 through special Army aircraft to stranded passengers between Jammu and Srinagar, sources said.

The planes will resume operation at 1100 hrs tomorrow, as the state administration has requested all the stranded passengers to contact respective Divisional Commissioner (of Jammu and Kashmir divisions) on telephone and get their names enlisted accordingly.
