Non-toxic mosquito repellent spray launched

Chennai, Feb 27 (UNI) Leading agro-chemical manufacturing and marketing company Ramcides Chemicals launched 'Stop', a toxic compound-free mosquito repellent spray.

Talking to newspersons, Managing Director R Padmanabhan said 'Stop' was a unique and effective 'Aerosol Spray', used exclusively by Indian Army utill recently.

"Ramicides takes pride in introducing it for the first time in the country, without any toxic compound in a healthy way", he claimed.

"Stop, unlike other mosquito repellent sprays, does not contain any harmful pesticides", he said adding "it helps to protect people from the mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, chikungunya, malaria and filariasis.

The liquid compound can be used as body spray, room spray and also on clothes, bed linen, covers curtains to ward off mosquitoes.

"The spray will effectively guard us from mosquitoes up to eight hours", he claimed.

'Stop', available in major retail outlets across Tamil Nadu in 320 ml quantity, is priced at Rs 125. A nation-wide launch is expected in a couple of months.

The product was launched by Director Defence Research and Development Establishment K Sekhar at a function held here.
