NHRC notice to Moradabad GRP SP on Chandausi train incident
New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to Moradabad Government Railway Police SP and sought a factual report on the alleged assault on passengers of Chandausi train from which a woman was thrown out.
Taking note of a newpaper report on the incident, the Commission has directed the SP to look into the matter and submit the report within two weeks.
According to the report, about 40 passengers of the Chandausi-Moradabad passenger train were assaulted and looted during daytime by about 15 youths on February 12.
''At the Jalgaon station, the youths threw out a lady passenger from the train,'' it said.
The driver and the guard of the train were taken as hostages, it added.
