Govt notifies kabuli chana exports

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) The Government today notified export of dollar gram (kabuli chana) to be routed through the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in Hyderabad and Bhopal.

Joint DGFT, Hyderabad, has been allocated 10,000 metric tonnes (MTs) and Jt DGFT, Bhopal, has been allocated 20,000 MTs.

The allocated quantities will be allowed for export on first-come-first-served and pro-rata basis, a statement of the Department of Commerce said here.

The step has been taken to alleviate farmers distressdue to the crash in the prices of kabuli chana.
