Governor dissolves Punjab assembly

Chandigarh, Feb 27 (UNI) Punjab Governor S F Rodrigues today dissolved the 12th Vidhan Sabha of the state, paving the way for the constitution of the new House, with the completion of election process.

The Amarinder Singh cabinet had yesterday recommended the dissolution of the assembly.

The Governor dissolved the assembly with effect from this afternoon, a Vidhan Sabha Secretriat release said.
