Genpact signs multi-year F

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) Business and technology services provider Genpact, headquartered in Gurgaon, has signed a multi-year contract to provide select finance and accounting services to pharma giant GlaxoSmithKline's corporate business operations.

It is the third contract in two years to be signed between thw two companies.

However, the terms of the contract have not been disclosed.

''We are pleased that after only two years of operations, GlaxoSmithKline has been confident enough in our performance to partner with us in ways that will help them manage operational risk and achieve 'best-in-class' status in finance and accounting (F&A) processes,'' said Genpact Head (Global F&A Practice) Shantanu Ghosh.

The business process outsourcing firm will support UK-based high-end F&A processes ranging from corporate consolidation to statutory reporting. The transition of these services will begin in March.

Finance and Accounting practice is Genact's largest business.

Of its 27,200 employees, about 6,250 professionals deliver a wide range of F&A services, including transactional accounts payable services, closing and reporting services, and financial planning and analysis.

The company has 24 operations centers in eight countries. With a direct sales network spanning Europe, North America and Asia, it has operations centers across India as well as in China, Hungary, the Philippines, Romania, Poland, the United States and Mexico.
