Body of a missing teenager found in a pond

Surat, Feb 27 (UNI) The body of a 1teenager, who was missing from Kanakpur village in Sachin, was found from a pond in Lajpore village yesterday.

According to Sachin police, the 13-year-old Bhittu, son of Jayapal Rampal Yadav, a textile unit worker residing in Krishnakunj society in Kanakpur village near Sachin, was missing since February 23.

Jayapal Yadav, in his complaint filed with police, had stated that Bhittu was last seen playing cricket with his friends at a ground near his house.

Yesterday the body was found floating on the pond, police said.

The post-mortem conducted yesterday revealed that Bhittu's death was due to drowning, police said.
