89 cross LoC on Poonch-Rawalakot bus

Jammu, Feb 27 (UNI) India and Pakistan authorities allowed 89 people to cross the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakkan-Da-Bagh on fortnightly Poonch-Rawalakot bus service amid tight security arrangements, official sources today said.

Thirty-three members of separated families -- 22 from Jammu and Kashmir and 11 from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) -- went to the other side while 56 civilians, including 22 Indians, crossed into this side of LoC, the sources said.

Carrying forward the confidence building measures (CBMs) between India and Pakistan, tight security arrangements were made for Poonch-Rawalakot bus service, following recent explosions in Samjhauta Express that claimed 68 lives.
