Wanted dacoit lynched

Etawah, Feb 26 (UNI) A history-sheeter, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on his head, was lynched by villagers in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place under Ajitmal police station area last night, where hardened criminal Sonu fought with the villagers over a dispute. The fight soon turned violent and the villagers opened fire killing Sonu on the spot.

Sonu is said to be the right arm of the notorious dacoits Nirbhay and Saleem, police today said.

Over 12 cases of loot, murder and abduction were pending against the sain criminal.
