Two killed, three injured in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) Two persons were killed and three others wounded in different accidents in the Kashmir valley today, a police spokesman said.
He said a speeding tipper hit pedestrian Abdul Rashid Ganie at Chooru, Sopore, about 50 km from here in Baramulla district today.
He was immediately shifted to hospital in a critical condition where he died.
A driver and coductor were injured when their vehicle turned turtle at Gantamulla on Srinagar-Uri road. The were hospitalised.
A youth was injured when he fell down from a vehicle at Beerwah in Badgam district today.
The spokesman said one Mohammad Akbar Khan was killed when two rival groups clashed over a piece of land at Shirpora in Badgam.
He said a fire broke out in a four-storey commerical building near here, causing damage to it. However, there was no report of any loss of life.
