Two debt ridden farmers end lives in Akola
Akola, Feb 26 (UNI) Two farmers committed suicide in the last 24 hours in Akola district, despite the special packages for farmers implemented by government agencies.
According to police, a 30-year-old farmer Santosh Mahadeo Dandle of Paras village, near here, committed suicide by hanging himself at his house yesterday.
He is survived by his wife, a son and parents, police said. His dead body has been sent for post-mortem to the Akola hospital.
Mr Someshwar Gangaram Sarkate (55), resident of Wani village in Rambhapur committed suicide by hanging from a tree yesterday, police said.
He was possessing four acres of agricultural dry land and was debt ridden. He was also worried about the marriages of his three daughters, family sources said.
