New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janta Party leader and former MP Lal Bihari Tiwari, who had yesterday resigned from the party, withdrew his resignation after meeting party president Rajnath Singh today.

''Mr Tiwari has withdrawn his resignation sent to BJP national president Rajnath Singh, after meeting him,''BJP Delhi pradesh Chief Harshvardhan told newspersons here.

Mr Tiwari had resigned from the party yesterday in protest against his non-inclusion in the committee formed for the coming polls for Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

Mr Harshvardhan further clarified that the committee in question was formed almost a year ago, when the by-polls to the Subhash Nagar ward of the MCD were held.

The Delhi BJP chief said he had a detailed discussion with Mr Tiwari over various issues related to the MCD polls.

The BJP would get full benefit of the anti-Congress wave prevailing in Delhi, said Mr Tiwari.

''The people of Delhi want to get rid of the misgovernance of the Congress. Only the BJP can provide them good governance, he added.
