RIMS to treat serious patients only

Imphal, Feb 26 (UNI) The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) authorities today announced that they will treat only serious patients from now onwards.

The decision had been taken following the agitation of the junior doctors against the assault of two women doctors.

RIMS sources said, the casualty remained close for almost a week after the two women doctors were assaulted following the death of an expecting women in the labour room.

The hospital would stop admitting extra patients beyond the bed capacity, the authorities added.
