Panaji, Feb 26 (UNI) Describing the Union Railway Budget for 2007-08 as 'people friendly', Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane said, ''It is so far the best budget.'' ''The Rs 20,000-crore cash surplus made by the railways is a landmark in the history of the Indian Railways and introduction of special trains for the poor christened 'Garib Rath' indicated the love and consideration the Centre accords to the masses,'' he said.

The railway journey will be more pleasant now with the budget providing for incentives to the common man for whom it is a regular mode of transport, Mr Rane added.
