Officer arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Feb 26 (UNI) Sleuths of State Vigilance Bureau today arrested industrial extension officer of Banka, Shambhunath Bhagat, from his office for accepting Rs 4000 as bribe.

An associate of the officer, Rajeev Ranjan Jha, was also arrested during the raid.

Additional Director General of the State Vigilance Bureau Neelmani said a trap was laid on the basis of a complaint regarding demand of illegal gratification by Mr Bhagat for issuance of a certificate.
