BHEL bags 144cr W B-aided contract in Maharashtra
New Delhi, Feb 26: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged a Rs 144 crore World Bank-funded substation contract in Maharashtra.
BHEL will set up a 400 KV turnkey substation at Wardha and extend the 400 kV substations at Seoni, Akola and Aurangabad, associated with the Sipat super thermal power project stage-II supplementary transmission system.
Placed on BHEL by Power Grid Corporation of India (PowerGrid), the project will be commissioned in 19 months, a BHEL spokesman said here today.
BHEL will design, engineer, manufacture, test, supply, erect and commission auto transformers, shunt reactors, circuit breakers, 400 KV and 220 KV instrument transformers, control and relay panels, string insulators and other associated auxiliaries, in addition to completing civil works.
