Woman falls to death,3 injured, 13 houses gutted in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 25 (UNI) A woman was killed when she fell down from second storey of a shrine in the outskirts of the city today, a police spokesman said.
He said a woman Raja Begum, was cleaning shrine at Jehab Sahib Soura, which also houses a holy relic of Prophet Mohammad, when she accidently slipped and fell down from the second storey.
She was immediately shifted to nearby Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura where, she succumbed to her injuries.
He said proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated by the police to ascertain the cause of fall.
The Spokesman said three persons were injured in different road accidents in the valley today.
He said eight houses and two cowsheds were gutted in a devastating fire broke out at Gawlata in Uri today.
A house and a cowshed were gutted in two different fire incidents at Sonawar and Chinar colony in the city. However, there was no report of any loss of life.
