Two school girls drowned in sewage canal

Bangalore, Feb 25 (UNI) The bodies of two eight-year-old girl students, who were missing from School since yesterday, were found floating in a sewage canal behind their school in the city today.

Kengeri police said that the two students of Govt. Primary School in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar did not return home yesterday. It was suspected that they might have slipped and drowned.

The two girls had ventured out as the lone toilet room in the School was locked. Their school bags were found in their class room.

The local residents protested against the teachers of the school after the bodies were fished out by the municipal staff.
