Rajnath lambasts UPA government for price rise
Gaya, Feb 25 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today blamed the UPA government's ''flawed polices''for the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities.
Addressing a public meeting here on conclusion of Jan Jagran Yatra of the party, Mr Singh said prices of essentials during the NDA government were under control but the ''failure'' of the UPA government to arrest the price rise indicated its ''lack of political will'' on the issue.
''The recent explosions in Samjhauta Express triggered by terrorists has exposed the weakness of our internal security,'' he observed.
''Growing incidents of disruptive activities are the result of soft policy of the Centre to deal with insurgency,'' he reasoned.
Mr Singh lauded the efforts of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to put the state on fast track of development and said his initiative to establish direct communication with the common man through Janta Darbar was really a novel step.
He said his party would have an alliance with like-minded regional parties during the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.
