Patna, Feb 25 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today disapproved the notion of dismissing the democratically elected government in states, saying majority of the government should be tested only on the floor of the House.

Talking to reporters here, NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar said his party was not in favour of dismissal of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, following the apex court's ruling disqualifying 13 BSP MLAs from the Assembly.

''It could have been a different matter had Mr Yadav himself resigned on moral grounds,'' he said.

'' Our party is opposed to any move to dismiss a democratically elected government as the floor of the House is the proper forum for test majority of the ruling party,'' he stated.

Regarding Bihar, Mr Anwar said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was only engaged in making tall annoucements.

'' Almost 15 months had passesd since the NDA government came to power in Bihar, but the state of affairs continue to remain unchanged,'' he said, adding the condition of road, power scenario and poor law and order situation would create impediment to the flow of investments in the state.
