Kolkata, Feb 25 (UNI) Narcotics Bureau is likely to interrogate film stars like Mithun Chakrabarty and Debashree Roy, as well as, Eastern India Motion Pictures Association authorities, in connection with the Sanjay Kedia Drug scandal.

Narcotic Bureau of Eastern Region sources said here today that it would issue summon to some film stars as well as EIMPA secretary for their involvement in a film produced by D P Kedia Film Private Limited. Sanjay Kedia and his brother Pranay Kumar Kedia, a Chartered Accountant, owned this company. Mithun Chakrabarty and Debashree Roy had played the lead roles in the film.

''Interrogation of the film stars was inevitable as the Bureau had evidences of utilisation of huge money, which might prove that unlike Mumbai film industry, mafias are a part of the film industry in Tollygunge,'' sources said.

Sanjay Kedia is in judicial custody since early this month for his alleged involvement in drug smuggling through his IT industry in Salt Lake. The Bureau had already sealed his Salt Lake residence and office. Narcotic Bureau has also summoned his wife Manika Kedia, to appear before it, which she was allegedly avoiding, compelling the Bureau to issue arrest warrant against her, sources said.

Meanwhile, police also raided Kedia's Howrah factory producing pharmaceuticals.
