Babies day out for 4000 Neotia borns
Kolkata, Feb 25 (UNI) It was a day out for about 4200 children, who thronged the heritage village, Swabhumi, here to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre yesterday.
The little boys were dressed in blue, girls of course in pink, and the twins and triplets in vibrant red, had one thing in common and that was their birth place. They all had taken birth in this care centre.
The excitement of the children knew no bounds. Five-year-old Maanyata said,''It is our day today. I have come to meet Spiderman.
I am very excited to see my super heroes.'' There were colourful baloons every where, the stage had taken a form of a ship. From the Indian superhero Kriish to batman and superman all were present to thrill the tiny toddlers with their dance and action.
There were several kids, who were not at all aware of the happenings, but their parents seemed to enjoy.
''I have never seen a hospital, which cares for its patients, but Neotia does. I was very scared during the delivery but the doctors here will not let you miss your family members,'' Vandana Joshi said, while her triplets all dressed in red were enjoying gorging on the beautiful wrapped candies and chocolates.
''It is just a celebration, we are proud to announce that 6000 children so far have been delivered in our hospital and we wanted to celebrate this cause. And what would have been better than allowing children to be themselves, far from studies and school,'' said Madhu Neotia, director of the care centre.
