The six-day camp, which was inaugurated on February 20, was for locals who had lost their limbs due to firing, mine accidents and terrorists action, a defence spokesman said.

Division commander Maj Gen Rameshwar Roy himself fitted a limb and lauded the Pritam Singh Trust, Poonch, and NGOs for assisting Army's Bhimber Gali brigade in making the camp a success, the spokesman said.

People from Poonch, Thanamandi, Surankot, Krishna Ghati, Mendhar, Bhimber Gali, Rajouri, Nowshera, Udhampur and Anantnag attended the camp.

Over the past five decades, several people living near the line of control (LoC) in Poonch and Rajouri districts have lost their limbs in various accidental and militancy related incidents.
