A convivial club that gets you job
New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) About 5,000 Indians educated in France have come together to form a network to help members get jobs and students financial aid to study in that country.
Called IFAN (Indo-French Alumni Network), the convivial club consists of students who have undertaken all or part of their higher education in prestigious French institutes and universities.
The network's dedicated Internet site, hosted by the French Embassy in its website www.edufrance.in, offers space for discussion, information and mutual help.
It will organise seminars to promote commercial opportunities for business in France and help members find jobs.
Resumes will be put on the website, which will be accessible by companies or recruiters.
The network will provide information about educational programmes, and also help meritorious and needy students to go to France for studies and research through financial aid and scholarships.
It will also help them in getting a visa.
Researchers in India and France will find the network useful in developing their skills in science and technology.
The network will promote French culture, cuisine, 'art de vivre' to create a better understanding of French culture and tradition.
A directory of the alumni for the future students from either country will also be created.
